DHL Supply Chain, the global and North American contract logistics supplier within Deutsche Post DHL Group, announced the appointment of Dennis Lutwen to the position of President, Consumer. Lutwen reports to Scott Sureddin, CEO, DHL Supply Chain, North America. He succeeds Franklin Littleton, who retired after a nearly 30-year career with DHL Supply Chain.

Lutwen joined DHL Supply Chain (then Exel) in 2003 as Finance Director, supporting the Chemical and Industrial business. Since then, he has held several leadership roles with increasing responsibility in finance, operations and dedicated transportation, supporting the Automotive and Chemical Industrial businesses and Commercial Finance. In 2016, Dennis was promoted to President, Automotive, North America, and joined the Global Automotive Board. Three years later, he expanded his sector leadership responsibilities by becoming President, Automotive, Engineering & Manufacturing and Chemical & Energy (AEMCE); his most recent role.

“Dennis has played a key role in the growth of our business. Under his leadership of AEMCE we saw an explosive growth in new business and also implementation of an innovative digitization strategy,” said Scott Sureddin, CEO, DHL Supply Chain, North America. “As he steps into this new role, I look forward to his continued success and am eager to witness the impact his outstanding leadership and knowledge will have on our Consumer business.”

“I am excited to rejoin the Consumer business and have an opportunity to lead this great team that has prided itself on delivering high quality and innovative solutions to our consumer products customers,” said Lutwen. “We will continue to drive our accelerated digitalization strategy through the business to ensure we remain on the cutting edge of the supply chain industry while remaining focused on our operational discipline that is a staple of our successful customer partnerships.”
